Botanical Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop

Make a unique piece of silver jewellery using botanicals at this beginner-friendly workshop.

5 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £135 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

If you would like to make unique pieces of jewellery using leaves, twigs, bark, shells or seed pods, this workshop is for you. Silver clay is a fantastic medium for picking up the detailed textures these items display.
You will learn how to use silver clay paste to make a replica of a suitable leaf (or similar size approx. 1.5cm) and how to use moulding compound to create moulds and textures to make into unique silver charms, pendants or earrings from twigs, leaves, shells, acorns, etc.
The price of the workshop includes the silver paste, clay and moulding material needed to make at least two pieces approx. 1cm-2cm. It also includes sterling silver findings: a pair of earring hooks, 45cm Trace chain and jump rings (all sterling silver) so you will leave the workshop wearing (or ready to gift) your unique pieces of jewellery.
We will not be making rings or stud earrings in the workshop.
The items will be kiln-fired. We will have a lunch break at this point (lunch not included), so please bring a packed lunch with you.

I discovered silver clay at a one day workshop back in 2019 and I was hooked. The magic of the transformation from a 'clay' to the precious metal gets me every time. I undertook a fast track certification in silver clay jewellery and started selling online and at artisan markets. I moved to Oxfordshire a couple of years ago and currently run workshops in East Hendred, Wallingford and Witney.
