Botanical Creative Retreat Amongst the Sunflowers

A slow, creative day working with flowers in an idyllic setting.

4 hours Class size 1 to 12 guests

£155 - £165 (Earlybird price of £155 applies if you book into a public session 60+ days ahead) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Join us for a mini creative retreat, nestled in the rolling Oxfordshire hills, against the backdrop of a sunflower field.
We’ll walk, pick wildflowers, cast with Jesmonite, and learn the art of arranging summer florals.
You’ll leave with a beautiful bas-relief wall hanging, a sculptural bouquet, and knowledge of our natural world.
Join floral artist Lyndsay Wade, Jesmonite casting artist Charlotte Wolfe, and horticulturalist Anita Barrett for an intimate, hands-on triple workshop at The Wine Farm in Stonor, Oxfordshire.
What you will experience:
  • Start the day with a hot drink and a Wild Frog Bakery pastry.
  • Take a tour of Emily Carr’s incredible farm and receive guidance in wildflower identification.
  • Pick wildflowers and foliage to use in your casting.
  • Step-by-step guidance through the botanical Jesmonite casting process, making a mould first from clay, before preserving the delicate details of flowers and foliage in eco-resin.
  • A demonstration and hands-on guidance in creating a beautiful summer bouquet.
  • Relax afterwards with a glass of wine - and you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the farm shop and sunflower field for as long as you like.
  • Work with fresh, seasonal summer plants.
  • Time and space to experiment, create, and enjoy the process.
  • A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with a small group.
What you will take home:
  • Summer Flower bas-relief casting: Using flowers and foliage you have gathered yourself, you’ll create a botanical cast in Jesmonite, capturing delicate textures and forms. The result is a sculptural piece that preserves the fleeting beauty of summer in a lasting, tactile form. Your piece can be hung with a botanically dyed silk ribbon. Jesmonite is a water-based, solvent-free casting material with a smooth, stone-like finish. Lightweight yet durable, it is well suited to detailed botanical work.
  • A summer bouquet: Working with seasonal flowers and grasses, you’ll create a gorgeous sculptural arrangement, benefitting from the Moomi Botanicals signature flair.
  • A deeper appreciation for working creatively with nature.
  • A calm, inspired feeling that stays with you beyond the day.
No experience needed:
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. Everything is guided gently and at a relaxed pace. You don’t need to consider yourself “creative” to enjoy this day.
What’s included:
  • All materials and tools
  • Gentle and friendly expert guidance from the three of us
  • Fresh flowers and foliage
  • A hot drink and pastry, and an excellent glass of wine (or soft drink of your choice)
Small group experience:
Places are limited to keep the workshop intimate and supportive. Perfect to attend alone or with a friend or family member.
This is a nourishing, mindful creative experience designed to help you slow down, connect with nature, and make something truly special.
You are welcome to stay at the farm for as long as you like after the event, perhaps relax in the sunshine with a glass of wine or browse the beautiful farm shop for local produce.

Hi, I’m Charlotte and I’m a homewares designer-maker and teacher. I’ve been making things my whole life and teaching for half of it - and I absolutely love it.
I want you to have fun and experience the joy of making. There’s not much better than playing around, making a mess, learning something new and creating something beautiful. And I’ll take care of all the prep and cleaning up.
I love colour, mid-century design, concrete, films, books, food and being outside.
Can’t wait to meet you!
