  • 5/5 from Joanna Bayton-Smith, attended Oct 2026: Small group which. Was helpful as I needed quite a lot of support!
  • 5/5 from Elaine Mallinson, attended Oct 2026: Joanne really patient at showing me what to do when I need extra assistance when learning to crochet. I liked the support and being shown what to do.
  • 5/5 from Shirley Nicholson, attended Oct 2026: Joanne our teacher was very patient, explained and helped with any misunderstangs. The class of 3 was ideal. I learnt the basics of crocheting, managed to make a chain, double and treble to make a square. I enjoyed everything about the class plus leaving with confidence. Thank you Joanne I would never have been able to manage on my own as I had tried for years.
  • 5/5 from Sharon, attended Oct 2026: Cathryn was lovely and took time to help everyone. I had previously done crochet, but a very long time ago so it was good to get refreshed.
  • 4/5 from Cate Whitehead, attended Oct 2026: I enjoyed the class but found it very tricky to get the hang of - the instructor was knowledgable and talented.
  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2026: I really enjoyed the class, Catherine was brilliant, very patient & positive, she put me at ease & gave me confidence. She gets 5 stars. The 4 stars is not a reflection on Catherine, the 4 stars is the issue of location & interruptions. We had a few people interrupt to ask general questions & 1 guy asked at length about the class, the cost, how long until you got good at it, etc. it’s difficult when learning a new skill to have someone holding a conversation literally over your head. The interruptions were outside Catherine’s control, as was the rudeness of that particular guy. Catherine dealt with the interruptions well directing them to other members of staff when needed.
  • 4/5 from Fiona Sanderson, attended Oct 2026: Excellent Tutor! Just not enough time to really get to grips with crochet. Paper instructions I felt were not worth it as confused what the tutor was demonstrating. Have booked a 1:1 for more detailed tuition.
  • 3/5 from Petra Langr, attended Oct 2026: The teacher was lovely, and it was a good introduction to several crochet stitches. However, I would have found it easier to learn if the stitches were taught through small projects, such as a mini scarf, a simple circle or a square. This would help beginners understand where to place stitches, how to make corners and how everything comes together, while leaving with something they’ve made.
