Beginner Machine Sewing Workshop

Join this three-hour sewing class in Basingstoke and gain the essential skills and confidence needed to use your machine effectively. You'll start with a guided tour of your machine’s anatomy, exploring key components such as the bobbin winder, tension wheel, and feed dogs.You'll learn how to wind and insert a bobbin, thread the machine correctly, and use a needle threader with confidence. Once you're set up, your teacher will cover thread tension, seam allowances, backstitching, and how to change direction while sewing. This low-pressure environment is perfect for first-timers, ensuring you get hands-on help every step of the way.By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with the practical skills to sew safely and accurately. You'll leave with the knowledge to kickstart your next creative obsession, feeling fully prepared to tackle your own projects at home.What you'll learn

The shop will be open 30 minutes before and after the class for any last-minute bits. This class is designed for absolute beginners or those needing a refresher. There's a maximum of six students for plenty of individual support. Please note: We need at least two students enrolled for the class to run; otherwise, it is subject to cancellation.
