Private Air-Drying Clay WorkshopsLooking for a creative way to bring everyone together? Our private air-drying clay workshops are made for birthdays, hen parties, baby showers, corporate events, festivals and any occasion worth celebrating.With guidance from the ClayLife team, your group will learn simple hand-building techniques and create pieces to take home on the day. No experience is needed. Choose a theme together or give everyone the freedom to make something different, from plant pots for decorative use, trinket dishes and incense holders to quirky little sculptures and sculptural portraits. Let us know and we’ll tailor the workshop to your group.Choose where to host it:* At the ClayLife studio in Hope Mill, Ancoats: For groups of up to 20. The studio is BYOB, with a hot drinks machine just outside, free parking on site and New Islington tram stop around a three-minute walk away.* At your chosen location: We can bring the workshop to you for groups of 10–80. We can discuss tables and chairs if you need us to provide them; additional costs may apply.* At a Manchester venue: We can help you find a venue that suits your group. Private venue hire may cost extra.All clay equipment and materials are provided. Because air-drying clay doesn’t go in the kiln, everyone can take their creation away after the workshop and leave it to dry at home. Finished pieces are decorative and aren’t suitable for food, drinks, water or direct candle flames.The ClayLife studio is on the third floor of an older building. There is a lift, but if it’s unavailable, you’ll need to use three flights of stairs. The doorways are too narrow for standard wheelchairs. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss access before booking.Prices vary with group size, location and what you’d like to make.
