Hi, I'm Ulrica — the girl behind aFterNook

I started crocheting to make a hat for someone I wished I had more time with in her final days. She used to teach crochet — and what began as grief became my craft, my label, and eventually my studio.

I started hosting crochet sessions in October 2025, and in July 2026, I took a leap of faith and opened my very own studio. It took a lot of courage, but throughout my crochet journey, I kept thinking: I wish there was a place with more yarn, more support, more people who just get it. Since that place didn't exist, I decided to build it myself.

A cosy nook where you can slow down, create freely, and spend your afternoon doing something that truly fills you up. That's how aFterNook was born.

Beyond crochet, I love exploring all kinds of making — handmade jewellery, little objects for everyday life like plant pots and candle holders. I hope my curiosity and creativity can bring a little more joy into your world, and that through our workshops, you'll find your people too.
