What you'll do
Under a characterful railway arch, join a throwing class at Manchester's first pottery teaching studio. Running for over 25 years, you'll learn the beautiful art of pottery making while enjoying a relaxing and creative activity.You'll go through all the throwing basics from centring, throwing bowls and cylinders, to turning the underneath of your pieces and glazing them.No previous experience is necessary - although it helps to have taken a taster class. Bring a willingness to have fun learning and get hands-on with clay! This pottery workshop is designed to teach you how to create some beautiful pieces and build your confidence with the pottery wheel.A passionate and experienced teacher is on hand to help guide you through the process, step by step. They'll show you everything you need to know, making this class ideal for beginners, and also intermediates. You'll practise various pottery techniques and create your own unique pieces, which you'll be able to take home after firing.

Free street parking in front of the pottery, and 10 minutes walk South-East from Piccadilly station. Follow Fairfield street over the ring road then we're on the right in a railway arch.
