What you'll do
Under a characterful railway arch, join a throwing class at Manchester's first pottery teaching studio. Running for over 27 years, you'll learn the beautiful art of pottery making while enjoying a relaxing and creative activity.You'll go through all the throwing basics, from centring, throwing bowls and cylinders, to turning the underneath of your pieces and glazing them.No previous experience is necessary. Bring a willingness to have fun learning and get hands-on with clay! This pottery workshop is designed to teach you how to create some beautiful pieces and build your confidence with the pottery wheel.A passionate and experienced teacher is on hand to help guide you through the process, step by step. They'll show you everything you need to know, making this class ideal for beginners and intermediates. You'll practice various pottery techniques and create your own unique pieces, which you'll be able to take home after firing.
What you'll get
- All materials and equipment needed (Materials charged at £1.90 per lb on collection).
- Apron for use throughout the class.
