Zentangle®️ Workshop

If you're looking to learn something new and creative that’s calming and relaxing then Zentangle could be just right for you!

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images using structured patterns which are called ‘Tangles’ and are drawn onto a 3.5-inch square piece of card which is called a ‘Tile’. By using repetitive pen strokes to draw Tangles and focusing on one stroke of the pen at a time you are able to shut off the busy side of your brain, be in the moment, relax and focus on the process without worrying about the outcome.

As the Zentangle process is easy to learn and repetitive it can have a calming effect which can help to reduce anxiety, and stress and aid with relaxation, creativity and focus. As a mindful mediative creative activity, it's suitable for both adults and children, individuals and groups as well as for parties and team building.

During this Zentangle class, you will learn the basics of this wonderful process from start to finish and by following the Zentangle ritual we will cover drawing official Tangles, Strings, Borders, Shading, techniques and terminology. By the end of your class, you will have completed a Tile or two which are yours to keep and you will be ready to continue your Tangling journey at home or want to learn more by attending one of a variety of more advanced classes and themed workshops.

I’ve been teaching the Zentangle method since 2014 when I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher after attending a seminar with the founders in America. I’ve written several books, taught all over Herts, Essex, London and Europe and have worked with many UK-based companies I love teaching others and passing on my knowledge, experience, tips and techniques.

• A basic materials kit which included everything that you will need during the class including Zentangle Tiles, black fineliner pen, pencil and Tortillion.
• A Tile or two to take home.
