On the hunt for a fun and creative new craft class in Bedfordshire? Learn to make a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind wrapped ring at this jewellery making class in Buckinghamshire!
During this workshop, you will learn to use traditional silversmithing techniques and tools to cut out your silver with a jewellers' saw before filing it to the perfect shape. You will be able to decide on your combination of textures and finishes before choosing the option of using sterling silver in sheet or wire form.
Then using a blowtorch, you will master the annealing technique, which will soften the metal so you can shape it using hammers and a mandrel as you experiment with creating a range of samples, selecting your favourite to use for your ring.
Never tried crafting your own DIY jewellery? No worries, your expert teacher will be on hand to provide demonstrations of all the techniques and equipment along with step-by-step guidance throughout your class.
Once you've finished up your ring, you'll move on to the cleaning and refining stage, where you'll perfectly complete your piece — ready to wear or give as a stunning handmade gift!
Whether you're searching for fun group activities to try with the girls or need hen party ideas for a bride-to-be who loves a little bling, this class is a great chance to learn how to make jewellery in a welcoming atmosphere.
Please note: the course price does not include materials, so please be mindful of this when you think about what you would be interested in making, but Sarah or Violeta can explain this to you before you start your project. Corzo & Wood sell all the materials required for your project on the day. Most students spend £20 – £50.
