I’ve always been passionate about creating spaces where women feel empowered, confident, and connected. My journey started through teaching and community work, where I saw how powerful creativity, conversation, and shared experiences can be in bringing people together. That passion eventually led me to create EmpowerHer — an initiative focused on empowering women through creative workshops, networking, sports, and meaningful events.
One pivotal moment for me was realising how many women wanted a safe, welcoming environment to connect, learn new skills, and simply feel seen. I wanted to build something that combined creativity, confidence-building, and community, and that’s exactly what I’ve poured into my work ever since.
I love teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping people grow in confidence. Whether it’s in a classroom or a workshop setting, there’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing someone try something new, surprise themselves, and leave feeling proud of what they achieved. I believe learning should feel engaging, supportive, and memorable — not intimidating.
Something many people don’t know about me is that I balance both the education and business world. I’m a qualified Business teacher with a Marketing degree and a PGCE in Business, and I currently teach while also running my own business and community initiatives. That combination allows me to bring both creativity and structure into everything I do.
I’ve taught and worked with hundreds of students and participants over the years, from classroom teaching to women’s workshops and community events. I’ve also organised team-building style experiences, creative workshops, and networking events designed to help women connect and thrive.
I’m especially proud to have been recognised as Woman of Newport 2024, and to have been featured at the Millennium Centre as well as in Wales Online. Those experiences reminded me how important it is to continue creating positive impact within the community and inspiring other women to step confidently into their own goals and creativity.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. I want people to leave my sessions feeling inspired, capable, and genuinely happy they came.
