On the hunt for fun things to do in Cornwall? Come and celebrate the start of winter with this fun beach art class in New Polzeath!

Known as the Winter Solstice, 21st December marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. Wonderfully the Polzeath tides are lined up to help mark this special occasion.

Guided by seasoned beach artist Bill, this winter workshop will show you all the tips and tricks you need to help create a beautiful piece of beach art to commemorate the solstice with a team of others!

You'll begin by working on your design before you quickly outline it on the beach, ready to rake in the details to create a unique piece of art. The tide will take it away within six hours so you can have fun and enjoy the experience!

At the end of you'll take photos of your masterpiece and Bill will try to get some drone shots to share with you before heading off for a cup of hot chocolate to discuss your experience!

This is open to anyone to join and is a social experience as much as an art one. Please bring a friend or family member along for free if you are booking this but let me know as I need numbers for rakes etc!

Beaches make great renewable art canvases! I'm an experienced beach art teacher who likes to help everyone unlock their hidden talents and have fun doing it. We're all learning, and I'm learning too... about repeating patterns, sacred geometry, mandalas and how to create amazing shapes in the sand!

I'm in my 60s and for much of that time have been a teacher, headmaster, housemaster in international schools around the world: Australia, Kenya, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Morocco, and in the UK, Sussex, Yorkshire, Somerset, Cornwall and Cardiff.

I'm particularly good at nothing in particular and have a very relaxed style of teaching. I look forward to meeting you!
