What you'll do
Calling all green thumbs! Come and craft a beautiful structure for your garden that will also support your climbing plants.
This weaving workshop is guided by Eddie, an experienced basket maker who will guide you through each step of designing and completing a willow plant climber. Eddie will show you how to select and prepare your willow before showing you how to weave the climbers.
You will be getting hands-on with the willow to create two plant climbers, one large and one smaller. It's perfect for beginners looking to start a new craft and improvers that would like to refresh or build on their skills.
As your hands are busy, your mind will be creatively inspired, leaving you feeling satisfied and full of all the knowledge you need to keep weaving at home.

We have been running courses in our woodland workshop for over 25 years. The course centre is set in a beautiful 90-acre wood in the National Forest on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border.
Our tutors are all highly skilled professional craft workers and teachers who share our passion for preserving, promoting and passing on these crafts and techniques.
