In this intimate pottery workshop in London, you'll learn to throw clay on the wheel, discovering how to transform raw clay into beautiful ceramic pieces. Over two and a half hours, an experienced tutor will guide you through essential wheel-throwing techniques, helping you create your own handmade pottery.
Perfect for complete beginners, this creative activity is limited to just six students, ensuring you receive personalised attention and support. The small group setting allows you to learn at your own pace in a relaxed environment.
Working at the wheel, you'll learn proper clay handling, centring techniques, and how to shape your pieces with confidence. Your tutor will demonstrate each step clearly, offering guidance tailored to your skill level.
By the end of this rewarding workshop, you'll select your favourite piece to be professionally glazed and fired. Your finished pottery will be ready for collection from the Colindale studio in 4 weeks.
Important note:
  • There is a minimum of 3 participants required before the class can take place.
  • The minimum guest age is 14 years old.
  • Guests under the age of 16 years old, must be accompanied by an adult.
What you'll get
All materials and tools are provided, along with glazing and firing of your piece.

What to bring
Please wear clothes that you are okay with getting clay on, although it will wash out of most materials.
Short fingernails are advisable as this makes working with clay easier.
Please bring you own apron with you.
