Weekly Acrylic Painting Art Course - Animals

Develop your skills and learn how to paint realistic animal fur and features through one detailed painting, created over four three-hour sessions.This focused 4-week course will explore the techniques behind painting realistic fur, eyes, ears, and other intricate animal features, using layering, colour, brushwork, and texture to gradually build depth and detail.We’ll be painting a close-up animal portrait, which we’ll work on throughout all four sessions. Rather than completing a new painting each week, you’ll have the time to develop one detailed painting from the first layers through to the finished piece.Each week will build on the previous session, giving you the opportunity to slow down, practise techniques, become familiar with my painting process, and gain confidence as your painting develops.What you’ll explore:

• Creating realistic fur using different brush techniques and layers
• Painting expressive eyes and detailed features
• Understanding colour, tone, texture, and form
• Building depth and realism gradually
• Working with multiple layers to create fine detail
• Developing confidence when painting intricate subjects

Whether you’re a complete beginner, have some painting experience, or already enjoy painting animals, this course is designed to help you develop your techniques at your own pace.Your painting will be created on high-quality A3 canvas paper using quality materials. Once finished, it can be stretched, framed, or kept safely in a folder.Please note: This is a complete 4-week course, and the booking reserves your place for all four sessions.
