Need activities in Brighton to give you a much-needed creative pick-me-up? Empty your mind and have fun focusing on a tactile experience with this meditative weaving workshop.

Led by friendly crafter Amy, you'll begin by learning how to string, or warp, your loom and then cover easy-to-follow knots to tie before you're ready to start weaving your way to a beautiful design.

Looking for calming hen party ideas or team building experiences with a mindful focus? Weaving is a very therapeutic craft and super easy for beginners to try, so be prepared to get cosy and creative as you enjoy a drink and get hooked on a new hobby!

Once your weave is complete, you'll learn how to easily remove it from the loom so you can stand back and admire your handiwork. Then comes the hardest decision of all — where to display your perfect piece of textile art!

I started Cult Milk in 2015 as a way of putting on events to showcase female artists. It was all about creating a supportive non-judgemental space with incredible women.

Over the years Cult Milk has naturally evolved to be a person driven company where the focus is on inclusive creative workshops and community. Something I passionately love about my work is the array of different people I get to meet, though no matter how lovely and successful they are in their own field of work I often hear the phrase: "I won't be any good at this because I'm not creative." There is a common misbelief that we learn at school - if you're not 'good' at drawing then you're not creative. Creativity can be found in everyone. We are born with a sense of exploration and play and it's my job to encourage people to rediscover that joy in themselves, regardless of their age.
