Led by experienced local artist Gerald Porter, you'll build your skills each week by following Gerald's expert demonstrations, picking up step-by-step experience as you sketch, wash and detail your chosen artworks. The combination of close tuition with hands-on activities make this a fun, laid-back and comprehensive way to learn this versatile art form.
Even if this is your first time picking up a paintbrush, don't fret: Gerald will be on hand throughout the course to offer the benefit of his experience through tips, techniques and a helping hand where needed. Whether you're coming along by yourself or looking for fun things to do with your partner or a few friends, you'll love learning to paint in this social, supportive and beginner-friendly environment.

Your teacher
Gerald Porter is an experienced artist having trained in South Wales and London at Hornsey College of Art. He has completed education qualifications at the University of Leicester and Exeter Institute of Education.
As an artist, he has held successful exhibitions at the Strand Gallery and Meniere Gallery London as well as being a frequent exhibitor locally in Northampton, Kettering, and Leicester.
He is a Fellow of the FPAA, awarded in 2019, and is a Demonstrator for Art Profile for which he gives talks and demonstrates his talent for watercolours.
