Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about Knitting. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for complete beginners as well as new Knitters looking for that next step on, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a knitting pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Asma Khaliq, attended Oct 2025: Me n my daughter had our first one to one in person knitting session with Kerry. She is amazingly talented and taught us both very beautifully. Explained well and corrected us with patience. I’m looking forward to having our next session with Kerry soon!
  • 5/5 from Nicola, attended Mar 2025: I had a one to one session with teacher Kerry. I wanted to learn some knitting hints and tips, in particular about cable knitting. Kerry was very helpful and patient and passed on some very useful info. The surroundings were spacious and airy and all materials were provided. Advice was given on different knitting stitches too, including cable needles. She even gave me an issue of a knitting magazine which had been used in past classes. Thank you, very pleased and would recommend!
  • 5/5 from Paula Drage, attended Jul 2024: Great class. Kerry was brilliant, very knowledgeable and good at explaining things. I’ll definitely book another, once mastered the basics.
  • 5/5 from Jane, attended Jul 2024: Kerry was really good at helping with the basic. We were at the very early stages and she made it feel really easy!
