  • 5/5 from Victoria Turvey, attended Oct 2026: Fab teacher, went with some old work colleagues. Nice reminder to myself that working by building layers is how to paint professionally. I tend to just not think technically when I paint at home. Took my painting home well satisfied with what I had produced.
  • 5/5 from Emma Taylor, attended Oct 2026: The atmosphere was great all ways friendly the teacher could have come down the end off tables away from the painting but he was great that’s not a negative
  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2026: Just a get together with a friend. Nothing too special. We painted a highland cow and it was a good experience I learnt a few simple techniques and it was well instructed. I had lots of fun doing my first sip and paint and I would happily do another one. The atmosphere was great I just happened to sit on the side where lighting wasn’t great. For someone who overthinks a lot it was nice to be fully invested in painting and completely focused so silly thoughts and feelings don’t take over. Overall it was great there was lots of materials and paints and we could always ask for more of things. The host and helper were lovely, friendly and welcoming too.
  • 5/5 from Emma Taylor, attended Sep 2026: I had a fantastic time I just wanted to find something I could do on my own the staff was very friendly and helpful
  • 5/5 from Debbie Hayward, attended Sep 2026: We came on a work night out. We all enjoyed it very much and will definitely be booking again.
  • 5/5 from Debbie Wyer, attended Sep 2026: First time I have done anything like this, really enjoyed it and would book again
  • 5/5 from Tracy Hill, attended Sep 2026: Enjoyed this one more than last one just because my painting had a better result. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m better painting an object or animal better than a landscape or place. Great fun as usual. I’m looking forward to the next one
  • 4/5 from Lindsay Holmes, attended Aug 2026: The brush party itself was really good. The teacher was welcoming and helpful. I would not recommend Lock29 as a venue. The brush party was 6-9. At 8 o’clock my friend went to get another drink to be told last orders were called but no one had come over to the class to tell us. At half 8, the bar staff came over to collect glasses so people had to drink up in the 5 minutes he was coming back to take everything from the table. And bang on 9, the lady managing the venue, came over in front of the class and asked the teacher how much longer we were going to be as she was shutting. Meaning the ending of the session was extremely rushed and we felt in the way. I would not attend another session at this venue again.
  • 3/5 from Tracy Hill, attended Aug 2026: I was a little disappointed this time with my painting. Didn't do so well. Tabby was fine I prefer Sarah but know that she is leaving shortly. Need more practice. My friend and I are coming back to the 4th September at Lock 29 to do Funky Moo hopefully will do better then.
