Creative kids will love crafting a unique Halloween decoration that is certain to set a spooky scene! This mache pumpkin project is a great way to get the Halloween fun started and it’ll teach them all about making with mache.
The tutorial is designed for kids aged three years and over. They’ll have an expert Hobbycraft colleague showing them every step of the way, with a fantastic variety of craft materials provided in store to help them transform one spooky pumpkin – from googly eyes to tissue paper! There are so many ways to make something unique.
Whether kids have never made with mache before or they just love getting stuck in with this versatile craft, the workshop will be a fun way to embrace Halloween excitement.
All participants will walk away with pumpkins to put on display. Please note, you may need to allow for drying time.
Workshop suitable for ages 3+ years. All kids’ craft workshops require adult supervision. One ticket is required per child.
Our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas, and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

I was a bit disappointed as the images used on the pictures to advertise the workshop had googly eyes and when my little girl asked she said she didn’t have any up here. There was also some confusion over how long it was as she started to tell us we had 5 mins left only 25 mins in. When I said I thought it was an hour she said it was 30 mins. She did check then and did let us finish off our pumpkins. The kids did enjoy it but I was left feeling a bit disappointed with the lack of resources and confusion over timings. It would put me off booking a more expensive workshop in the future.
