I’m a lettering artist and designer with over 20 years’ experience crafting words and letterforms – from brand marks to magazine covers. A few years ago, I was invited to run a lettering workshop for a greetings card company and discovered how much I love teaching. Since then, I’ve led sessions for large corporate teams like UK Greetings and TMW (advertising agency), as well as smaller, more intimate groups in co-working and community spaces around the country. I also guest lecture at Camberwell College of Arts in London, teaching type design.
I find lettering to be a relaxing and mindful practice — it takes you out of your everyday thoughts and grounds you in something analogue and tactile. Workshops are the mental and professional equivalent of a walk around the block. They’re a chance to step away from screens, connect with others, and engage your hands and imagination in a different way.
Whether you’re learning something new as a hobby, meeting people through a shared creative interest, or taking your team away from their desks to explore a new skill, workshops help shift your mindset. They spark ideas, refresh your senses, and bring a bit of joy and inspiration into the day.
My lettering workshops teach teams how to draw letters in a range of styles through live demos, tips and tricks, and one-on-one guidance. They’re designed to be fun, friendly, informative and inclusive — perfect for anyone, no matter your drawing ability. If you can write, you can draw letters using my simple techniques.
