Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Kate, attended Nov 2025: Fun and festive plastic wreath making with Lauren in Stevenage Hobbycraft. I went with my Mum as a "getting into the festive spirit" activity and it was great! Our instructor was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and gave clear instructions. We were a bit late but there was plenty of time to complete the activity. The materials and tools were decent for the task. The cinnamon sticks sometimes cracked when we cut them but more could have been made available if we ran out. We also got to take home any surplus materials in case the glue didn't hold. Classes are limited to 5, but ours just had 4.

  • 5/5 from Cecilia Gordon, attended Nov 2023: The member of staff was knowledgeable and helpful, willing to make suggestions. The equipment worked well and I learnt how to use a glue gun. We had a neat corner away from the store crowds and were able to concentrate on what we were doing. The materials were sufficient for the xmas wreath we were making and all of the wreaths were different when we had finished them. Overall a very interesting, happy occasion. Thank you.
