Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Anne Pollard, attended Nov 2025: We learnt how to make a Christmas Wreath. We were provided with plenty of materials to arrange and glue on our wreaths, and we were shown how to make various bows too. The teacher was helpful and pleasant, and the whole workshop was very relaxed. I was very pleased with my decorated Wreath.
  • 5/5 from Trudie Foster, attended Nov 2025: I wanted to learn a new craft after retiring, and really liked the idea of learning to make a wreath. Anita was very good and explaining the techniques, I was amazed at some of them, so simple but impressive. I loved taking my wreath home and showing the family, I think everyone will be getting one for their doors this Christmas.

  • 5/5 from Ann Bennett, attended Nov 2024: No occasion, just wanted to make one. I learnt how to make a flower and bow. The teacher Sue was brilliant, very patient and willing to help/advise if I was not sure how to do it. Venue was good and just the right amount of materials and for the use of equipment from the store. I like how Sue made you feel very welcome and relaxed. And I learnt that you can make something from all the bits that was provided. Thank you again Sue (Nannysue).

  • 5/5 from Zena Scott, attended Nov 2024: Sue was terrific, went through making the wreath and the materials we were using. Felt a little rushed towards the end, an extra 10/15 mins would have been great. Would recommend the course though it has inspired me to make another.
  • 5/5 from Christine Kibens, attended Nov 2023: Nanny Sue was lovely and had different ways of describing how to do something if it was a bit tricky. Loved the class, I would highly recommend it. Christine.

  • 3/5 from Nadine Gibbons, attended Nov 2023: I think it was overpriced - the items provided to decorate the wreath seemed quite stingy
