Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Claire Handy, attended Nov 2025: Great little workshop. Had a great time and made a beautiful wreathe. Will look amazing on my door
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2025: Great class, was easy to follow and Jess was really friendly. So pleased with the finished product. Will definitely be booking more classes
  • 5/5 from Liz Peters, attended Nov 2025: We had the best afternoon in this Christmas wreath-making class. The materials were great (we even had some to bring home which will be helpful if there is any damage or we need to tweak things), the guidance was spot on (Jess was incredible, so friendly and knowledgeable), and we all had a really enjoyable class. We are looking at booking another as soon as we are able to find a time to get together again.
  • 5/5 from Kay Collington, attended Nov 2024: Attended christmas wreath class to celebrate mums big birthday in coventry. Suzane was friendly, demonstarated crafts really well and helped my mum. Great ideas and good selection of materials to personalise the wreth. Even managed to make a bow which I never thought I would be able to do. We were delighted with the end result. Would definently recommend.
  • 4/5 from Carol Harrison, attended Nov 2024: My friend and I wanted to learn how to complete a wreath.. also learnt how to make flowers and a bow so very happy.. informative session with helpful teacher, xmas music and a good giggle.. thankyou
  • 3/5 from Tom, attended Nov 2024: Not a great experience to start off with when the shop staff didn’t know there was a workshop. The person who takes the workshop don’t work on Thursdays. The girl who stood in to take the workshop hadn’t done the wreaths before so we struggled by. Not very professionally organised by hobby craft taking into account the money i spent on it could have bought one cheaper
  • 2/5 from Becky, attended Nov 2024: Another class at Coventry hobbycraft where customers and store staff were let down. Despite the class being advertised months in advance, the class leader was only informed they were taking it two days before. She had no experience in making wreaths, and hadn’t even used a glue gun before. The hour was spent with her following instructions off a sheet, and working it out as she went along. When I pay for a workshop, it’s because I expect the person running it to be experienced and be able to advise me. In this instance, I would have been just as successful googling how to do it, and saved myself some money. This is in no means a slight to the person running it, she was bubbly and friendly, a great choice generally as a workshop leader, and made the best of a bad situation. I love the idea of being able to learn crafts at my local hobbycraft store, unfortunately two bad experiences mean that I’m very unlikely to try it again.
  • 5/5 from Donna Rowan, attended Nov 2023: It was lovely and what we come away with was brilliant. WELL worth the money.
  • 5/5 from Tracy Bethell, attended Nov 2023: This was a surprise for my daughter, something neither of us have done this before. Lovely hour spent and very pleased with our wreath attempt. It hangs proudly on our doors. The teacher was very patient and explained things well. We will definitely try and make another wreath for easter.
  • 5/5 from Amal Bell, attended Nov 2023: It was a lot of fun, Susana was wonderful and explained the process so well and with loads of patience! All our materials were ready and set up for us too.
  • 5/5 from Hilary Snee, attended Dec 2022: Today we had a fab experience making Christmas wreaths with Suzanna. She had patience and explained herself really well, great value for money, not only did we get our wreaths, but got to keep the glue gun and all the decorations we didn't use, great way to spend a couple of hours.
  • 5/5 from Jennifer Moore, attended Nov 2022: Teacher was great, lots of advice and a lovely wreath to bring home. Merry Christmas
  • 4/5 from Emma Bedford, attended Nov 2022: Had a lovely time at the traditional wreath workshop. Good size wreath with decorations, easy to follow instructions from teacher who was also on hand to help if required.
