2 hours Class size 10 to 20     label £35

Enjoy a relaxing journey into beginners' embroidery and transform a cotton tote bag into a unique accessory with this fun, hands-on workshop in Brighton.

Led by friendly crafter Amy, you'll learn to embroider using a selection of stitches and techniques as you customise your tote bag using shiny sequins, bright beads and even inspirational quotes — the choice is entirely up to you!

You'll get to pick between a white, black or natural canvas tote to use as the base of your bag and receive all the materials you need to continue developing your embroidery skills long after your class, including a wooden embroidery hoop, needle and threads.

Amy will be on hand with step-by-step support and textile tips, so don't worry if it's your first attempt at an embroidery workshop. With drinks available to order throughout, you can empty your mind and enjoy creating at your own pace in a pressure-free environment.

I started Cult Milk in 2015 as a way of putting on events to showcase female artists. It was all about creating a supportive non-judgemental space with incredible women.

Over the years Cult Milk has naturally evolved to be a person driven company where the focus is on inclusive creative workshops and community. Something I passionately love about my work is the array of different people I get to meet, though no matter how lovely and successful they are in their own field of work I often hear the phrase: "I won't be any good at this because I'm not creative." There is a common misbelief that we learn at school - if you're not 'good' at drawing then you're not creative. Creativity can be found in everyone. We are born with a sense of exploration and play and it's my job to encourage people to rediscover that joy in themselves, regardless of their age.
