About ArtNHer London
Hi there! I’m so excited to share a little about ArtNHer London, a creative enterprise born from the UN Award-winning social enterprise MITHILAsmita India. For over a decade, we’ve been celebrating and supporting rural and tribal women artists who keep India’s incredible traditional crafts alive — from Madhubani, Warli, and Gond paintings to Phulkari embroidery, henna art, and hand block printing.
We launched ArtNHer London recently to bring this magic to the UK and beyond through live, online art workshops. Each session curated by ArtNHer London connects you directly with these amazing women artists, letting you experience the calming, creative joy of traditional art — no experience needed, just curiosity and an open heart!
My own journey started years ago in the Mithila region of India, where I was deeply moved by my community women who had preserved their art for generations. Their passion inspired me to help share these living traditions with the world. When our work with MITHILAsmita received recognition from the United Nations, it felt like a beautiful affirmation that heritage crafts truly matter.
ArtNHer supports teaching because every workshop feels like a cultural exchange — full of stories, colors, and moments of mindfulness. With our wide network of women artists across India, we’ve run creative and team-building workshops worldwide, including at prestigious global museums, healing audiences, supporting sustainable livelihoods and keeping ancient crafts alive.
Join us to paint, print, or stitch your own story — and discover how art can heal, connect, and bring a little more beauty into everyday life.
