- You will learn how to create different stitches, insert a zip, box corners, and make and join pieces of a simple pattern.
- You will spend the day learning how to make a drawstring bag and a zipped pouch using a selection of fabrics provided.
- On day two, you will learn essential dressmaking techniques whilst making a pair of cosy pyjama bottoms.
- Learn how to read and understand a commercial pattern and get to grips with waistbands, hemming, buttonholes, joining straight and curved seams, and pattern matching to achieve a professional finish.

What you'll get
All fabrics, patterns, and haberdashery are included. Please bring your own sewing machine if you would like to learn on it. You will need a buttonhole foot.Sewing machines are also available to use in our studio.The price of this workshop includes a loungewear Simplicity pattern for Day 2.

Beginners and those who would like a refresher.
What to bring
You will need to bring 3 metres of your own fabric. We recommend a standard weight cotton for the pyjama bottoms, or a brushed cotton also works nicely. Please don't bring anything stretchy.You are welcome to bring a lidded bottle of water with you, but we kindly ask that you do not bring food into the studio.Refreshments are available at our on-site café, Blend, until 4pm.

After the brewery’s closure in 1937, the site fell into disuse and was nearly lost to demolition. Thanks to a visionary local group, two of the remaining buildings were restored and transformed into craft workshops, opening as Cirencester Workshops in 1978.
