Sunshine by the Sea – Stained Glass Suncatcher Workshop

Capture the beauty of a perfect sunrise or sunset over the sea in your very own handmade stained glass suncatcher!In this relaxing, creative half-day workshop, you’ll create a beautiful sunshine design using vibrant shades of blue, turquoise, yellow and golden glass. Inspired by the sun glowing on the horizon, your finished suncatcher will bring a cheerful splash of colour to your window, catching the light and creating a lovely reminder of sunny days by the sea.With guidance from your tutors, you’ll discover the traditional Tiffany copper foil technique and learn how to cut and grind pieces of glass to shape. You’ll then learn how to wrap the edges in copper foil and solder the pieces together, bringing your design to life. Experiment with different colours and textures to create a unique piece that you’ll be proud to display in your home.Perfect for beginners! No previous stained glass experience is necessary. Your tutors will guide you through each stage, and all materials and tools are provided, making this a wonderful opportunity to try something new and discover the satisfaction of working with glass.Please note that the glass available on the day may vary from the example photographs, so each suncatcher will have its own individual character.Important safety informationAs this workshop involves cutting glass and working with heat, all safety instructions must be followed throughout the session. Due to the lead content of the materials used, this workshop is not suitable for pregnant or nursing mothers or for children.Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing.Ready to let the sunshine in? Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet.Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. There is a shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines and furniture.There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.Cancellation Policy:

• Should Tudor Rose Patchwork have to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop more than 30 days before the workshop date, you will receive a refund less our £5 administration fee. Tudor Rose Patchwork may be able to transfer your booking to another date.
• Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than 30 days before the workshop date, your payment will only be refunded if we are able to fill your place, less our £5 administration fee.
• Refunds will be made via the original payment method or can be taken in the form of goods or other workshops or group dates to the value of the refund being made.
• If a pattern is available for the workshop and a refund is not possible, Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.
• Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.
• Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without the permission of the tutor.
