What you'll do
Create a spinning silver ring that is as fun to fidget with as it is to make in this creative silversmithing workshop in Liverpool.
Spinning rings, which are sometimes also known as worry rings or meditation rings, are multi-banded rings. One band of the ring stays in place while the ring(s) on the inside spin. It can be very comforting to twirl your ring whilst wearing it, and it looks beautiful too!
Guided by expert tutors, you’ll be shown how to make a spinning ring using 925 solid sterling silver with optional gemstones and mixed metals. Make this ring uniquely yours using a range of texturing hammers, naturally coloured gemstones, and a selection of patterned wire.
To create your ring, you'll use thick silver sheet to make the inner band which you'll then add your spinning rings to and flare the edges to lock them in. Your final piece of jewellery will be unique to you and you'll be supported to make it to suit you and your tastes and personality.
By the end of your ring making class, you'll head home with lots of new jewellery making skills, as well as your beautiful ring to wear with pride.

- There is no strict age limit for this jewellery making class but please enquire before booking for anyone under the age of sixteen to confirm that the workshop will be suitable for them.
- No alcohol may be consumed before or during this class for health and safety reasons.

Your teacher
We are Britt and Andrew. Britt’s journey with jewellery making started in 2012 as a hobby that has slowly blossomed into what it is today - Noctua Jewellery & Workshops. Andrew joined Britt in September 2017 helping out with workshops and learning about the business.
Britt's love for jewellery started when she was a child and a relative bought her a beading kit. She delved in and out of jewellery making until she was 15 and finally discovered the holy grail of jewellery making: silversmithing. Much to her father’s delight, she purchased a blowtorch online and then began practising at home, continuously saving up for new tools and books. After many attempts, both failed and successful, she decided to find an apprenticeship to develop her skills, eventually finding one, 358 miles from home in beautiful Cornwall. Britt returned to Liverpool in February 2017 with a drive to give other people the joy of making their own silver jewellery.
