In this engaging jewellery making class, you’ll have the opportunity to create your very own sterling silver bangle and ring along with earning basic silversmithing skills.
The course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build upon the skills they already have.
The skills you will learn during the day are how to measure copper and silver to form bangles and rings to your desired shape, along with learning texturising, patination, sawing, shaping, and how to anneal, solder and cure the different metals. Students will also learn how to buffer and polish the finished pieces to a high shine finish.
The class is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the day, whilst at the same time allowing students to also work independently.
This jewellery making class runs for 3 hours over one day, but on occasions can slightly run over to enable students to complete the project they are working on.
