Make your own fabulous checkerboard stained glass coasters in this workshop in Liverpool, held at our welcoming stained glass studio in Wellington Yard, Wavertree. You’ll create a stylish and practical set of coasters using traditional stained glass techniques.
This workshop is friendly, focused, and fully guided, making it suitable for beginners as well as those with some making experience. Lead-free solder is used throughout, so your finished coasters are safe to handle and use every day. With small group sizes, you’ll receive plenty of individual support as you work.
What to expect:
  • Select glass for a set of four checkerboard stained glass coasters.
  • Work with pre-cut glass pieces, ready to assemble.
  • Apply and burnish silver-backed copper foil.
  • Assemble and solder your pieces using lead-free solder.
  • Clean and polish your coasters so they’re ready to use.
  • Clear health and safety guidance throughout the session.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a complete set of four handmade checkerboard stained glass coasters -- functional, eye-catching, and made entirely by you. It’s a satisfying creative experience and a brilliant way to learn stained glass techniques while producing something you’ll genuinely use at home!
