"Hola! I'm Lydia, the heart and soul behind Sonrisas Spanish Bristol. My journey with the Spanish language began long before I ever dreamed of teaching it. It started with a deep fascination with the vibrant culture, the melodic sounds, and the sheer joy of connecting with people from different backgrounds. That initial spark ignited a passion that has only grown stronger over the years.Why do I love teaching? It's simple: I believe language is a bridge. It's about opening doors to new experiences, new friendships, and a deeper understanding of the world. Seeing my students' faces light up when they finally grasp a new concept or confidently hold a conversation in Spanish is truly rewarding. It's a privilege to be part of their learning journey.I've been fortunate to share my passion for Spanish with hundreds of students over many years, from beginners taking their first steps to those seeking to refine their fluency. I have also had the pleasure of delivering team bonding sessions for buisnesses within Bristol. I hold a Teaching degree and a Masters degree in teaching Spanish qualifications and accreditations, and have taught at Many Bristol schools and Bristol University This experience has provided me with a strong foundation in effective teaching methodologies.My goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment where everyone feels comfortable to learn and grow.
