• 5/5 from Nicola, attended Sep 2026: I booked this course as I have a sightseeing holiday coming up and I wanted to make the most of it with some great photos. I was lucky enough to be the only person booked on the day so I got a lot packed in to the couple of hours. Jet showed me lots of tips on how to use some of the tools on my Samsung camera that I had no idea about, also how to take unusual pictures rather than my usual go to, which is to aim, take a picture and hope for the best! I found her to be an excellent teacher—friendly, approachable, and very helpful. A couple of things she taught me were how to add a splash of colour to a black and white photo - (very effective,) & how to take a photo facing upwards without breaking your neck looking up! Also a novel way to take a photos with reflections. She also showed me a great app for editing the pictures, so all thats left now is to put it all into practice. Fortunately I don’t have to rely on my memory as Jet sent me notes on everything that she taught, me which is great because it is a lot to take in and remember. If you are reading this, then I presume that you are thinking about taking better photos on your phone and I would definitely recommend Jet's photography class.

She paid close attention to what we wanted to focus on, bringing great ideas to life and keeping things genuinely interesting. We walked away with so many cool new techniques and were amazed by what our phones could actually do. Working across both newer and older iPhones showed us that you don't need an upgrade to capture amazing photos. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to get the best use out of their iPhone in a fun and friendly environment. A thoroughly enjoyable few hours!

She taught us a number of interesting techniques that I had no idea my iPhone could do to enhance our photos. She also introduced us to the Snapseed editing app, and I now understand how to edit and improve my photos. Jeanette was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about photography. The session was well planned and organised with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and a welcome cup of tea at the end. Jeanette was thoughtful and patient with my son who is petrified of dogs. One takeaway is find the light, it makes such a difference. The other useful tip (amongst lots of others) was not break to your back to take photos of the sky. We both learned so much and would love to have another session with Jeanette for some city scapes. Hate the cold but can imagine making use of the lenses we bought for our phones to take close up detailed photos of frozen cobwebs. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Jet was very nice, knowledgeable with a good way of explaining, she demystified rather than complicated things and it was very personalised support. I learnt new skills, took interesting pics, learnt some editing techniques and had an enjoyable afternoon in the park!
