2.5 hours Class size 1 to 4 guests       £35 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Spend a delightful morning with Hannah as you dive into the world of crafting! This workshop is a fantastic chance to learn a new skill and unleash your creativity with an essential element of interior design, you will never look at a lampshade in the same way! Hannah will supply the parts needed for your lampshade's framework, while you need to bring along fabric that reflects your personal flair. Feel free to bring along more fabric if you would like; we can explore print placement together and ensure your fabric choice fits perfectly.
During the session, you'll create a lampshade with a 20cm diameter, if you prefer a larger size, you can easily upgrade for an additional £5 on the day.
*Extra lampshade kits will also be available for purchase.
What you'll get
A completed artwork.
Knowledge required
No previous crafting experience is required.
What to bring
* For the 'small' 20cm diameter lampshade you will need to bring approx 70cm x 30cm of fabric of your choice.
* For the 'large' 30cm diameter lampshade approx 120cm x 30cm of fabric is needed.
I would advise to bring more fabric than required, we can spend some time looking at the print placement, discussing how best to use your choice of fabric, and make sure we get the perfect fit on the day.
Firm cotton fabrics tend to work best, but if you have any questions, feel free to email us for further advice

We provide courses and workshops that engage the local community. The cafe provides fantastic organic food and a space to get together before and after classes. It is also open to the public and is the perfect place for those seeking a relaxed and friendly place in Bristol city centre. Live music and festivals happen throughout the year, as well as markets, events and exhibitions.
The Bristol Folk House is part of a charity and we receive no funding from the government, the city council or any other institution and our income is wholly derived from course fees, venue hire, members and fundraising events.
The centre began in the 1870's with the aim of supporting access to education in the community. The first programme of activities was produced for the academic year in 1920-1921.
