Silverstar Christmas Decoration Workshop

Craft Your Christmas Star

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 14 guests       £55 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Exclusive Sessions: 15th, 16th, 19th & 22nd of December.
Would you like to tell the story of making your own beautiful Silverstar Christmas decoration this festive season? Join one of my 1.5-hour workshops and create a special handmade piece and a memory to cherish. Each participant will begin with a copper sheet for practice, followed by a 6cm x 6cm sheet of sterling silver.
You will learn how to fold the metal, create texture through hammering, and shape it into your very own Christmas decoration. At the end of the session, we’ll create the final hole for hanging and place your piece into the tumbler to bring out a beautiful shine.
While your decoration is being polished, you can relax and enjoy a festive seasonal drink and a ginger biscuit, the perfect way to end your creative experience.
If the listed dates don’t suit you, please feel free to contact me and I’ll do my best to arrange an alternative session.

For Morvarid, working with metal is both a source of inner peace and self-discovery. She finds it fascinating to see how the movement of her body translates into the movement of the material, creating a unique collaboration between maker and metal. With a passion for sharing this experience, she invites students to explore silversmithing, discovering creativity, mindfulness, and joy while making their own piece to take home.
Morvarid is an Iranian interdisciplinary metal artist based in the UK. She has exhibited internationally and received awards including the Silver Fellowship at Yorkshire Artspace, a Master’s in Jewellery and Metal from the Royal College of Art supported by the Behrens Foundation Bursary, and the Jane Goodman Award during her residency at Bishopland Educational Trust.
