  • 5/5 from Michelle Huggins, attended May 2024: I found the teacher to be friendly approachable attentive interesting explained/ demonstrated things well good to us about on craftsmanship of silversmith, The venue is good space wise and presenting things, Cause its quite a big building I quite often find this venue a bit too cool at times, in regards of comfort of staying warm Yes satisfied with all materials provided thanks I learnt the various stages process of how to create and turn silver clay into proper silver jewellery, I think the cost of silversmith workshop was reasonable good value I liked all the stages of creating proper silver jewellery I really liked it at the stage of using a blow torch, it was interesting, like being a child watching a magic show, "how silver clay glowed was on fire and then changed into proper Jewellery." Definately recommended this kind of workshop to others for sure

  • 5/5 from Kim Edwards, attended Feb 2024: Had a lovely time with my daughter, i bought this for her as a gift for Christmas. Our teacher was lovely and friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help. Fantastic woman. Venue was fine, but facilities were not great. So much choice of stuff to help you make it, nd to help you have inspirations. I learnt how to make silver jewellery and have a lovely neckless and earrings for my time. The unrushed feel of the day, while having something to show for it.

I've loved being creative my whole life so, after travelling and living in Greece for 13 years, I returned to the UK to study in Swansea, achieving a BA and MA in Architectural Glass, followed by a teaching degree in Art and Design. It was such an exciting time, learning and teaching everything I'd always loved. Later, as part of my professional development in teaching, a taster session using Precious Metal Clay was tagged onto the end of a short course and that was it, I was hooked on that too. I did evening classes for three years with Gorseion College for a City and Guilds, followed by taking up traditional silversmithing classes at the same college. I've been making jewellery and doing glasswork as a business since 2013, passing on my enthusiasm in my classes.
