What you'll do
Learn the secrets of silversmithing and create up to three unique pieces of jewellery at this jewellery making class in Liverpool!
During this full-day workshop, you’ll learn everything there is to know about making jewellery out of sterling silver. This workshop focuses mainly on the techniques used, which will allow you to carry on developing your skills confidently.
You're free to design and make whatever you fancy, including bangles, pendants, rings, earrings, charms and more. Along with this, you will also learn some other techniques such as how to make jump rings, other findings and how to create different finishes for your jewellery.
You'll be given free rein to work independently, but don't worry about getting in over your head! Your tutors Brittany and Andrew will be on hand to show you these time-honoured techniques and will be on hand throughout the session to give tips and advice.
You'll leave the class at the end of the day brimming with newfound silversmithing knowledge, as well as with your beautiful handmade jewellery to take home and wear with pride, or give as a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special.
Please note:
- There will be a short break during this workshop in which you can go out to get lunch in one of the plenty of nice cafes around the north dock area. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own lunch.
- There is no strict age limit for this jewellery making class but please enquire before booking for anyone under the age of sixteen to confirm that the workshop will be suitable for them.
- No alcohol may be consumed before or during this class for health and safety reasons.

Your teacher
We are Britt and Andrew. Britt’s journey with jewellery making started in 2012 as a hobby that has slowly blossomed into what it is today - Noctua Jewellery & Workshops. Andrew joined Britt in September 2017 helping out with workshops and learning about the business.
Britt's love for jewellery started when she was a child and a relative bought her a beading kit. She delved in and out of jewellery making until she was 15 and finally discovered the holy grail of jewellery making: silversmithing. Much to her father’s delight, she purchased a blowtorch online and then began practising at home, continuously saving up for new tools and books. After many attempts, both failed and successful, she decided to find an apprenticeship to develop her skills, eventually finding one, 358 miles from home in beautiful Cornwall. Britt returned to Liverpool in February 2017 with a drive to give other people the joy of making their own silver jewellery.
