What you'll do
If you've always wanted to make your own silver jewellery but didn't know where to start, this fun jewellery making workshop will let you make amazingly detailed charms cast in silver clay from real natural objects.
Silver clay looks and feels just like ordinary clay, and is just as easily moulded. However, it is packed with very fine silver particles mixed with a non-toxic organic binder that leaves behind gorgeous silver metal when fired.
During the class, you'll take multiple moulds of natural items such as small flowers, shells, stones, seeds, pods and leaves. These will all make beautiful moulds for you to create a copy of your chosen objects. You'll also get to take all of your moulds home for future use.
Under the expert tutelage of the Noctua team, you'll learn to form the clay into jewellery, dry the clay and then fire with a blowtorch before finally polishing your pieces.
Everything you'll need is provided, but you're also free to bring your items to cast if you want to make your finished charms even more personalised!
Whether you're looking for a good starting point for a jewellery making hobby or you want to make some unique gifts for friends and family, you'll love working with your hands at this Liverpool jewellery making workshop.

- There is no strict age limit for this jewellery making class but please enquire before booking for anyone under the age of sixteen to confirm that the workshop will be suitable for them.

Completely beginner-friendly but any experience will come in handy.
What you'll get
All materials and equipment to make a number of silver clay charms to bring home with you, including 10g of silver clay (with more available to purchase on the day if you'd like).
What to bring
- Bring along your own natural items to cast if you wish!
- Closed toe shoes and long hair tied up.
- Reading glasses (if you need them).
- Old clothes (optional).

Your teacher
We are Britt and Andrew. Britt’s journey with jewellery making started in 2012 as a hobby that has slowly blossomed into what it is today - Noctua Jewellery & Workshops. Andrew joined Britt in September 2017 helping out with workshops and learning about the business.
Britt's love for jewellery started when she was a child and a relative bought her a beading kit. She delved in and out of jewellery making until she was 15 and finally discovered the holy grail of jewellery making: silversmithing. Much to her father’s delight, she purchased a blowtorch online and then began practising at home, continuously saving up for new tools and books. After many attempts, both failed and successful, she decided to find an apprenticeship to develop her skills, eventually finding one, 358 miles from home in beautiful Cornwall. Britt returned to Liverpool in February 2017 with a drive to give other people the joy of making their own silver jewellery.
