Sewing Workshop: Make Your Own PJ Shorts

Hand sew a fun project in this sewing class in London!

5 hours Class size 1 to 3 guests       £145 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

This sewing class in London is designed for people who already know the basics of using a sewing machine and want to take the next step into simple garment making.
Instead of relying on an overlocker, you’ll learn how to create neat, clean internal finishes using a domestic sewing machine -- including French seams and carefully finished edges.
What to expect:
  • Choose between two short styles: a simpler loose-fit version or a more shaped version with extra finishing details.
  • Learn skills that you can utilise for other clothing, like summer shorts, lightweight trousers, pyjama sets, slips, camisoles, and other delicate fabric garments.
  • Work with thin or delicate fabrics, sew accurate seams, handle an elasticated waistband, use interfacing where needed, and understand how pressing helps a handmade garment look clean and properly finished.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your own handmade PJ shorts and a better understanding of how garments are professionally put together.
What you'll get
  • A completed pair of handmade PJ shorts.
  • A choice between two short styles.
  • Step-by-step tutor guidance.
  • Use of studio sewing machines and equipment.

Ksenia Semirova is a textile artist, embroidery designer, and educator working with hand embroidery for fashion and art.
She first came to embroidery through her own creative practice and later developed it professionally through an MA in Textiles at the University of Brighton. Her work brings together a range of techniques, including Lunéville and tambour embroidery, goldwork, pearl embroidery, textile manipulation, and surface embellishment.
Ksenia teaches embroidery as a real hand skill, not as a quick craft activity. Her workshops are practical, focused, and technique-led. Her private tuition sessions are for people who want direct guidance and proper time with the technique — from complete beginners to fashion students and creatives who want to use embroidery in their own projects.
