Did you know it's really easy to make your own knickers? Well, at this 'Sew Your Own Knickers' sewing workshop with expert tutor Lauren Holloway, you'll learn how to make your own beautiful pair of knickers. Using stretch fabric, Lauren will show you how to cut your pattern, along with how to sew stretch fabrics on a sewing machine, and then how to add trims like elastic, stretch lace, and bows.
Make a pretty pair or a practical pair, low-rise or high-waisted, you'll have the chance to customise your knickers with Lauren's guidance. Do you have an old T-shirt or stretchy dress you'd love to upcycle? Or maybe you have some stretch fabric offcuts you'd love to utilise? This workshop is the perfect opportunity to use those scraps! Or just use some of the fabrics provided.
All materials provided although you are welcome to bring your own, we recommend stretch jersey (with or without lycra), lightweight T-shirt jersey is best.

  • Cutting the correct size pattern
  • Recognise the types of fabrics and haberdashery required for knicker making
