Join this sea glass picture workshop in Coalville and discover a relaxing, hands-on way to get creative. Under Karen's friendly guidance, you'll use a variety of media alongside beautiful pieces of sea glass collected from around the British coastline to design a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
If you've ever wanted to experiment with watercolour or try a new craft, this low-pressure session is the perfect place to start. You don't need to be an artist or have any previous experience – you'll likely surprise yourself with what you can achieve when you just show up and have fun.
During this two-hour workshop, you'll have the chance to:
  • Experiment with different paints – Try out various techniques and colours to see what sparks your interest.
  • Work with authentic sea glass – Arrange unique, ocean-tumbled pieces to form your final design.
  • Create a framed keepsake – Put the finishing touches on your artwork so it's ready to display at home.
Everything you need is provided, including all materials, resources, and even some tea, coffee, and homemade cake to keep the uplifting energy going. Whether you're coming on your own or bringing along some friends, it's a wonderful way to switch off and find a moment of mindfulness.
You'll finish the morning feeling refreshed and inspired, walking away with a beautiful, handmade framed picture that captures a little piece of the coast. This rewarding experience offers a total shift in perspective, leaving you with new skills and a lovely memento to show off.

I am Karen, I live in North Weat Leicestershire with my husband David and I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren which keeps me busy.
I first discovered sea glass when I retired early from teaching and went away with my dad. I’d never seen it before and was fascinated by its beauty. I collected some, made some pictures and then the business spiralled without me even planning it which was amazing.
I now facilitate workshops for adults, children, events, wellbeing sessions, hen party’s and just about any other event you can think of. I love seeing what people create from what is technically rubbish that has been transformed by the sea. The reason I mention my husband David is because he is the sea glass hunter and every piece of glass has been collected by him!
