Sea Glass Jewellery Making Class

Make your own one-of-a-kind pendant from sea glass at this jewellery making class in Liverpool.

5 hours Class size 5 to 12 guests       £95

If you're an avid upcycler looking for a new project or want to create a unique gift for someone close to you, this jewellery workshop in Liverpool is for you! Under the watchful eye of a local crafting expert, you'll design and make your own pendant to fit a piece of sea glass or pottery.
You’ll learn about where sea glass comes from, and how it ends up on our beaches. After choosing a piece of sea glass from your teacher's own collection — or bringing your own piece that you've found — you'll learn how to measure the bezel needed to fit the sea glass, as well as how to cut, saw and solder it to make a beautiful pendant. Finally, you’ll polish your piece and fit your sea glass into the bezel, ready to take home and wear with pride.
You will also have the option of having no backplate to the piece, allowing light to shine through and show off the true colours of this beautiful, eco-friendly material.
Members of the Noctua team will be on hand throughout the class with tips, support and advice to make sure your pendant ends up the best it can be. Whether you're coming along solo or bringing a few pals for some crafty fun, you'll leave with some nifty new jewellery making skills and a pendant you can cherish for a lifetime.

We are Britt and Andrew. Britt’s journey with jewellery making started in 2012 as a hobby that has slowly blossomed into what it is today - Noctua Jewellery & Workshops. Andrew joined Britt in September 2017 helping out with workshops and learning about the business.
Britt's love for jewellery started when she was a child and a relative bought her a beading kit. She delved in and out of jewellery making until she was 15 and finally discovered the holy grail of jewellery making: silversmithing. Much to her father’s delight, she purchased a blowtorch online and then began practising at home, continuously saving up for new tools and books. After many attempts, both failed and successful, she decided to find an apprenticeship to develop her skills, eventually finding one, 358 miles from home in beautiful Cornwall. Britt returned to Liverpool in February 2017 with a drive to give other people the joy of making their own silver jewellery.
