About this venue

Our venue is ideal for running craft workshops and it is based in the heart of Whitley Bay. It is an upstairs venue with no lift. There is a kitchen for refreshments (for the tutor to use and prepare drinks). The toilet is on the same floor next to the workshop. Sixteen people can be hosted and seated with access to the tables provided. Basic refreshments are included e.g. teas, coffee and water, however anyone with any specific intolerances and dietary requirements must provide their own.

The room can be booked for a half or full day. An example of a price for 8 people attending a half day workshop (3 hours) would be minimum of £40. There is an incremental charge for every attendee over 8 people at a cost of £2 per person.

Re-Create today was set up in 2016 and the aim was to create a safe and fun environment to offer a range of sewing and crafting inspired workshops. We run our workshops on the first floor premises of 62-64 Park View in Whitley Bay. We host and run workshops, courses and weekly groups. I have personally been running sewing and textile workshops for over eight years now. Our courses are run over a four week period for two and a half hours each week. Materials are included in our courses. The courses are aimed at absolute beginners. Mental Health is very important and our workshops enable the attendees to be mindful and focus on the task in hand. This enables them to be present and for a short time forgot about the daily stresses of the outside world.
