What you'll do
If you're keen to learn a fun new crafting skill, or just want to add to your bag collection, pop along to this Bristol craft class and enjoy a relaxing few hours creating a unique, beautiful tote bag!
Hosted by experienced, local crafters in their bespoke quilting studio in the picturesque village of Chipping Sodbury, you'll learn the fundamentals of sewing to create your own beautiful tote bag. You'll enjoy some expert demonstrations of all the tools and techniques you'll be using, making sure you won't get in over your head even if you're a complete beginner.
Then it'll be your turn to give it a go yourself! Don't worry if this is your first sewing class — all you need to know is how to sew a straight line. You'll leave the class relaxed and rejuvenated, with some handy new sewing skills and, of course, your lovely new bag to enjoy.
What you'll get
- A printed pattern, instructions and wadding for your bag.
- Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash and biscuits will be available.

- A selection of fabrics, or money to purchase some from our small supply.

My name is Natalie, I’m the owner and quilter at Harmony Quilt Company. I’m very fortunate to follow in my grandmother’s footsteps in having an exceptional gift for all crafting, especially sewing and quilting. My grandmother, affectionately known as Nanny Smith, taught me to make curtains from an early age, but I was always making something or other with her offcuts, and my passion was born.
I have over 45 years sewing experience and 7 years “serious” quilting experience, and quilting is my passion. Time to make my passion my job. And once again, another birth: Harmony Quilt Company Ltd! Whether you're looking to take your first steps into the world of patchwork, quilting and sewing or you're an intermediate always on the lookout for your next project, I can't wait to welcome you into my bespoke quilting studio for a few hours of crafts, chat and fun!
