Join our tufting class and unlock your creativity as you learn the art of punch needle embroidery. This workshop is perfect for beginners who are eager to explore their artistic side while creating stunning punch needle artwork.

In this hands-on class, you will start with a practice session using four different types of punch needle tools and four different types of fabric. This allows you to experiment with various colours and textures, helping you discover what works best for your unique style. With this knowledge, you will then move on to creating a larger piece, armed with a solid understanding of the punch needle technique.

Don't worry if you've never tried punch needle before! Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, providing step-by-step instructions and offering helpful tips along the way. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can pick up the technique and create beautiful designs.

During the class, you'll have the opportunity to explore a wide range of materials and tools. If you find yourself falling in love with punch needle art and can't wait to continue creating at home, we have a variety of tools available for purchase. Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle.

All my workshops are based on encouraging sustainability, building community and supporting attendees well-being. I am passionate about ensuring craft sessions are accessible to all, providing discounts on most courses for people on low/no incomes, seeking out venues that are wheelchair accessible and ensuring that workshops are calming with more of an emphasis on enjoyment and new skills over perfection.

I also run workshops at festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, End of the Road, Underneath the Stars, Deershed, Wychwood Cornbury, Greenbelt, Just So, Beacons, FarmFest, BeatHerder and more!

I studied BA (Hons) Textile Crafts at the University of Huddersfield, specialising in textile printing. I’ve also studied weaving, felting, bookbinding, dark room photography and fine art printing at L'Ecole des Beaux Artes at Besancon, The Academy of Design in Kuopio and Leeds University, as well as studying a range of creative techniques on a foundation course at UcCA Canterbury.
