Celebrate in style with a private hand-building pottery session, tailored for groups of up to eleven—perfect for birthdays, hen dos, team-building days, or family Christmas get-togethers.
No experience needed and no artistic talent required—I'll guide your group every step of the way. Choose from some of my most popular projects, including my Quirky Birds, Terrific Toadstools, hand-built vases, and Ceramic Tealight Cottages, all made using stoneware clay and finished with your own personal touch through texture, mark-making, and colour. Festive Christmas workshops are also coming soon, perfect for a seasonal get-together.
Every creation is fired in my own studio kiln, carefully placed on the drying shelf, and taken through a bisque and glaze fire, so your group's pieces come back looking their very best.
Sessions run for around 3 hours and take place in my studio in Northampton—a relaxed, hands-on alternative to the usual party format, and one your group will genuinely remember.

Wear comfortable clothing that could get a little dusty—short nails work best for sculpting

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 4 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the session; if that happens, we'll inform you and let you choose between a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

Knowledge required
No prior experience or artistic skill is needed—this workshop is beginner-friendly and suitable for complete newcomers to pottery. Whether your group is creatively confident or has never touched clay before, I'll guide everyone through each step at a relaxed pace so all skill levels can take part and enjoy the session together.
What to bring
  • Comfortable clothing that could get a little dusty
  • Short nails (or nails trimmed beforehand) — fingertips are used to sculpt the clay
  • No rings or jewellery on the hands, as these can catch in the clay
Just yourselves and your excitement to get creative — everything else is provided!
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

FAQ

Can everyone in the group make something different?
Up to two different projects can be taught within the same session, so your group can mix things up if you'd like. Just let me know your preferences when booking so I can prepare everything in advance.
Can we bring drinks or snacks?
Absolutely — guests are welcome to bring food or drinks of their choice, whether that's a bottle of fizz or a special celebration cake. Plates and cutlery will be provided.
Is parking available?
Yes — there's on-street parking nearby, plus space for two cars on the driveway.
