In this 1.5-hour private, one-on-one workshop, you will learn how to shape and mould clay on the pottery wheel, discovering the joy of creating your own unique piece of pottery to take home. This wheel-throwing class in Bristol will guide you through the basics of throwing, helping you learn a new skill while making a piece that is truly your own.
Don’t worry if you’re new to this craft. This beginner-friendly wheel-throwing class is designed to guide you through the process with patience and encouragement, so you can enjoy the experience at your own pace. Feel free to explore your creativity in a supportive and relaxed environment.
The class will take place in my charming pottery studio by the riverside, offering a serene and inspiring setting for your creative activity. You will work with clay on the pottery wheel, with all materials needed for the workshop included, so you can simply focus on unleashing your creativity. You will be able to:
  • Learn how to centre and shape clay on the pottery wheel.
  • Create your own unique piece of pottery.
  • Choose your favourite creation after the session.
  • Select a glaze for the finishing touch after the bisque firing process.
Embark on this creative activity that not only teaches you a new skill but also allows you to unwind and express yourself through pottery. You’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment and newfound passion for this craft, as well as your finished masterpiece ready for collection 2–4 weeks later.
