I have loved growing things since I was a child. I retrained in Horticulture when I was 30. I did my RHS exams and volunteered at a National Trust garden at the same time as working on local private gardens. I then got a job at Tyntesfield and later Dyrham Park as a Gardener. There I was growing flowers for display in the Manor houses and for thousands of visitors to enjoy. This really allowed me to hone my skills, and I became very passionate about growing flowers for wellness. I have ADHD (which was diagnosed later in my life), and I love the fact that growing allows my mind to relax and calm. I have created my own garden gradually over 15 years, and I'm really grateful to have the space and love sharing it with others. I love running the workshops here so I can share my love of flowers and of growing. In the process, I can teach a bit about what I know, hopefully! I have worked with volunteers for years and have spent a great deal of time teaching techniques and showing them how to do things horticulture-related. I so enjoy what I do, and I'm really enthusiastic about passing that on to others. Creating really has helped and continues to help boost my self-confidence. I love it when I can help someone else to learn something new and have something great to take from being with me. My workshops are very safe spaces where people can socialize and connect and have fun.
