Pottery Wheel Throwing MasterclassTap into your creative side with a full-day Pottery Wheel Throwing Masterclass at The Art School Chester.Designed for complete beginners and those with some previous experience, this immersive five-hour workshop gives you the time, guidance, and confidence to discover the timeless art of throwing pottery on the wheel.Your day will begin with a warm welcome and a hot drink before our experienced pottery tutor introduces you to the clay, tools, and techniques you’ll be using. Through clear demonstrations and individual support, you’ll learn how to prepare your clay, centre it on the wheel, and shape it into your own handmade pots.You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise throughout the day, developing your skills and creating a collection of unique pieces. Whether your pots turn out perfectly polished or wonderfully characterful, every piece will reflect your own creativity and progress.A delicious catered lunch is included, along with refreshing breaks and time to relax with your fellow aspiring potters.At the end of the masterclass, you’ll choose your two favourite pieces to be professionally dried, glazed, and kiln-fired by our pottery team. Your finished creations will be ready to collect approximately four to six weeks later, and we’ll contact you as soon as they are ready.No previous pottery experience is needed.
