Wave goodbye to the grey skies of winter and welcome the vibrant days ahead with creativity and fun! In this Ceramic Wall Vase Workshop, you’ll craft a one-of-a-kind piece of art that adds colour, charm, and personality to your home or garden.
Imagine a whimsical wall planter that’s perfect for aromatic herbs, fresh flowers, succulents, or even dried blooms. Whether it’s a cheerful bird perched on the rim or a playful toadstool tucked into the design, your creation will bring a smile to your face every time you see it.
What’s included:
  • Enjoy a relaxed and supportive class filled with inspiration, laughter, and encouragement.
  • Work with durable, cream-coloured stoneware clay—perfect for crafting long-lasting art.
  • Explore various building and decorating techniques, experiment with textures, stamps, and templates, and paint with a vibrant selection of underglazes.
  • Your planter will be finished with a clear protective glaze, fired to perfection, and lovingly wrapped—ready to brighten your space.
  • Sip on tea or coffee, chat with fellow creatives, and enjoy a cosy, small-group setting where ideas and laughter flow freely.
This workshop is open to adults and children aged 8 and up, making it perfect for families, friends, or solo adventurers. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned creator, this class is designed for everyone.
You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy this experience—you just need curiosity and a willingness to play! With small class sizes (max. 10 students), you’ll get plenty of guidance and encouragement to help you create something truly special.
Spaces are limited, and this joyful workshop tends to fill up quickly—so don’t wait! If you have any questions, I’m just a message away and would be delighted to help.
I can’t wait to welcome you to this creative adventure!
Warm and happy wishes,
Marika

Hi, I'm Marika, a self-taught ceramic artist based in the picturesque county of Northamptonshire.
What started as a hobby has grown into a thriving hand-building pottery studio — classes now fill up fast, and the waiting list keeps growing. I've taught hundreds of beginners and more advanced students the hand-building techniques I love most, always leaning into quirky, fun and colourful projects along the way.
I also run private classes for small groups of up to eleven — perfect for birthday parties, unique hen dos, team building days, or family Christmas get-togethers. Whatever you're celebrating, I'll tailor the session to suit your group.
Every student creation gets carefully placed on the drying shelf, then loaded into my faithful Rohde Ecotop kiln for a bisque and glaze fire. I look after each piece as if I'd made it with my own hands — because every piece is special, and deserves individual love and care.
I spent many years as a full-time art teacher in secondary schools, and I love bringing that same patience and encouragement into my studio. My classes are easy to follow, relaxing, fun, and confidence-building.
I also host private group sessions for celebrations of all kinds — get in touch to find out more
Once you start working with clay, you can't stop :)
